Objectives

  • Kingston Community Centre was mainly formed to promote and encourage leisure time activities, advice, and information by the provision of facilities such as; provide facilities for the recreation or other leisure-time occupation of such persons of Tamil origin and others who have need of such facilities by reason of their age, infirmity, disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with the object of improving their condition of life.
  • Act as a focus enabling Tamil people to get-together in fellowship and to provide advice and information services.
  • Provide a forum for discussion of matters of common concern affecting the welfare of Tamil community.

The Community Centre runs Library, Seminars in health and welfare matters, recreational activities such as Cards, Karam, Chess, Yoga, Keep fit etc. People of all age groups mainly Tamil community and few from Indian, Pakistani and English origins use the facilities.
